Lena Mae (Sikes) Groover, age 79 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Lena was born on August 7, 1934 in Prague, Oklahoma to Harvey Sikes and Lola D. (Watkins) Sikes. She was the manager for Hilltop Café and for the Steakhouse Restaurant in Konawa and was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Konawa. Lena loved going to garage sales, reading, watching the O.U. Sooners, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Kerman Raines of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Nelvin Hudson of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Ann Havens of Waco, Texas and Jawanna Moore of Konawa; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lola Sikes; her husband, Jerry Groover; two sons, Frankie and Mike Raines; one grandson, Jacob Raines; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and Luther Dean, Eva and Gill Crosby, and Marie and George Thomas; and two brothers, Alton Sikes and Glen Sikes.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Vamoosa Cemetery. Jimmy Branscum will officiate.
