MILLERSBURG -- Eileen Rebecca (Scott) Treap peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Majora Lane Center in Millersburg, surrounded by many loved ones.

She was born in Stow, Ohio, on July 4, 1922, to Chester and Amy (Young) Scott. Eileen was a graduate of Stow High School and met George Treap at the First Christian Church of Stow, where they were later married. Together they raised eight children on a farm in Glenmont, Ohio.

Eileen served the Lord faithfully at Danville Church of Christ and was employed for many years as head dietician of Round Lake Christian Assembly. She and George loved RV camping and traveling to visit family around the country. After retirement, they built a home in Grayson, Ky., and became active in Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Eileen was a master seamstress, gardener and an award-winning cook. She was an expert at identifying flowers, leaves and birds. She enjoyed reading, music, painting, knitting, croqueting, quilting, flower arranging, canning fruit and playing cards. Eileen was most notably known for her amazing gift of hospitality that was enjoyed by hundreds of grateful friends and family through the years. She loved the Lord deeply and served others, young and old, with a humble spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; a son, Mitchell; brothers, Robert, Richard, Jack, Walter and Tommy; sisters, Mary, Shirley and Linda; and a great-grandson, Mitchell.

Surviving are children, Sharon (Jim) Exler of Nampa, Idaho, Richard (Linda) Treap of Millersburg, Daniel Treap of Millersburg, Pamela (Francis) Nash of Grayson, Ky., Patrick (Patricia) Treap of Ashville, N.C., Steven (Debbie) Treap of Pikeville, Ky., and Marie (Thomas) White of Millersburg; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
