Gavin Brion Moore, 21, of 20 Hillside Drive, Cartersville passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Dahlonega due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Floyd County, on Sept. 24, 1983, the son of Angela Boss Moore and the late William (Kerry) Moore. Preceding him in death are his father, Kerry Moore and grandfather, Toby Moore.
Gavin was a member of Atco Baptist Church in Cartersville. He attented North Georgia College and State University in Dalonega, Georgia, where was he was in the ROTC program and the Corps of Cadets. He was active in intramural softball. Gavin was also employed part-time by Callaway & Ashworth in Dawsonville.
Survivors include his mother, Angela Boss Moore of Cartersville, one son, Ethan Bourdon of Cartersville, grandparents, Hugh and June Boss of Cartersville, Jackie and Ray Williams of Dallas, great-grandmother, Mary Boss and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Atco Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Curlee, Dr. Wayne Hamrick and Dr. Carl Billue officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with The Corps of Cadets playing bagpipes. The family will receive friends at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 till 9:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Wade, Tyler Boss, Jody Boss, Brooks Gayton, Stephen Moore, Chris Taylor, Colby Evans and Britt McGill. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cass High School Class of 2002 and Students and Faculty of the North Georgia College and State University.
