The spirit of Carmin returned to God who loaned her to us for 77 years, 3 months, and 2 days. Carmin was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a wonderful friend to everyone she met. Always smiling, she especially loved her extended family. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are husband of 58 years, Donald; daughter, Vivian Maynor of Elkview; grandson, Abe Jones (whom she raised as a son) of Procious; granddaughter, Jill Grandchamp of Wilmington, N.C., and Jodi Grimm of Pinch; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Jones, Dylan Grandchamp, and Luke, Tyler, Emily, and Bryce Grimm; brothers, Dexter Dudley and Deward (Daniel) Dawson of Procious, and Dane Dawson of Shreve, Ohio; and sisters, Claudia O'Dell and Chessie McCune of Massilon, Ohio.

Carmin loved to travel; during her life she visited 47 states and 11 foreign countries. Her culinary skills are known far and wide, every Sunday was feast day for family and anyone else who dropped by. The family wishes to thank Dr. George Zaldivar and Dr. Sarah Nease for the bonus years they helped to provide for her during her extended illness. Her body was cremated. There is no visitation or service at her request. The family would like that there be no flowers. Please send them to a charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by Hafer Funeral Home of Elkview.
