Survived by loving daughters Janet, Julie, grandson Jeff and granddaughter Jenna. brother David (Maggie), nephew Justin and Ann ; niece Toma Jean and Rick and many friends and former shipmates. Graduated Mpls Roosevelt HS '39; US. Navy 1939-45. Served in Pacific on USS Sands, serving in operations of Renell Island, Solomon Islands, New Guineau, Bismark, Hollandia, Southern Paulas, and Leyte Landings earning the Navy Unit Commendation ribbon; USS Alex Diachenko, Nov. '44 to '45 Boilermaker, 2nd Cl. Life member of VFW Post 1296, Bloomington and 22 yr member of American Legion Post 435, Richfield. Worked as a Boiler Engineer at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital. He loved family, friends, the Navy, hunting, gardening, his dog Casey and Dixieland music and they all loved him more. He wanted family and friends to celebrate his life on his passing with a "Irish Wake". He will be missed.
