Bess C. Anderson, 101, of North Huntingdon, formerly of White Oak, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon. Born Dec. 20, 1912, in North Braddock, she was a daughter of the late Milton M. and Emma Katherine Hutchison Cochran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Leonard Anderson. She graduated from Grove City College in 1933 with a bachelor's degree in commerce. She taught Carrick Evening School from 1933 to 1934. She was a secretary in the North Braddock School District from 1934 to 1941 as well as a secretary for the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1943 to 1959. Bess was a member of Daughters of America Colonists, David McKee Chapter.
