William Bever was born Sept. 13, 1910 at Marshfield, a son of the late Arnold and Mayme Beine Bever. When he was 13 the family brought him to Manitowoc where he graduated from Sacred Heart Parochial School. For six years he attended the Salvatorian Seminary at St. Nazianz. In 1929 the family moved to Two Rivers where Nov. 11, 1936 he married the former Rose Jung. A long time employee of Eggers Plywood Co., Two Rivers, working as an order clerk in its office, he had been a member of St. Lukes Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, serving for a number of years as its chief ranger until his death. Besides his affiliation with the Eagles, he was a member of St.Luke's Holy Name Society, secretary of the Ushers of St.Luke and a member of the Manitowoc Old Timers Baseball Assoc.
