Harold ErnestNoffsinger 7/21/1916 ~ 2/20/2003 Harold Ernest Noffsinger, 86, passed away February 20, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born July 21, 1916 in Roosevelt, UT to LeRoy and Sylva (Astle) Noffsinger. He married Norma De Esta Burr Feb 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Harold attended school in Salt Lake graduating from East High and the University of Utah, majoring in Physics. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, submarine service. He later co-founded and operated Universal Mi-crofilm for many years. Harold was an inventor. Some of his favorite times were spent in his machine shop visualizing, designing and then creating. He held several patents. He was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Salt Lake City Cambodian Mission with his wife, Norma. Harold served in many positions in the church and will be long remembered for his impact as a teacher and a friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Bill. He is survived by his wife, Norma, one son, Mike (Cynthia), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be Tues. Feb 25, 2003 12 noon Salt Lake LDS 31st Ward Chapel, 1078 S. McClelland St. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Mon. 6-8 p.m. and Tues. one hour prior at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
