Brian K. Barner, 29, of 1996 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida, died Tuesday, September 1, 1987 in Marathon as the result of a work related accident.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Klein and Stangel, Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Brian was born February 19, 1958 at Manitowoc, son of Howard and Phyllis Hoida Barner. He was an engineer on the Pleasure Yacht, "Albert" out of Marathon, Florida. Brian was an avid scuba diver collecting many artifacts of which most were donated to the Rogers Street Museum. He was attending a diesel mechanics class at the University of Key West, Florida. Brian graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1976.
Survivors include his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Kriss Barner of Two Rivers; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dennis Allie of Two Rivers; a niece and nephew, Dana and Jeffrey Allie; his maternal grandmother, Frieda Hoida of Two Rivers; aunts, uncles and cousins.
