DEATH TAKES MRS. C. STUCK
Mrs. Caroline Stuck, who became a resident of the Lodi district in 1908, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Welsh in Oakland. She was a native of Ohio aged 87 years, 3 months, 11 days.
Mrs. Stuck was married in 1859 in Ohio and with her husband, Samuel Stuck, moved to South Dakota where they remained until 1908 when they came to the Lodi district and settled on a farm west of the city. Mr. Stuck died the following year.
She continued to make her home in this district until five years ago, when she moved to Oakland and since then has divided her time between the home of her daughter in Oakland and her son, Ralph Stuck, who resides near Lodi. Her health had not been good for several months.
She was the mother of Emma Welsh, Oakland; Mrs. Sadie Clark, Alameda; Mrs. Caroline Irons, Oakland; Ralph Stuck, Lodi; Dr. Louis Stuck, Lodi; Mrs. Margaret Cook and Samuel Stuck, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bethel Tabernacle with Rev. Harry R.R. Neat officiating. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery under the direction of Hale & Bawden.
