Mr. James C. Guidry, age 74 of Plano, Texas passed away on December 13, 2005 in Plano. He was born on February 6, 1931 in Houma, Louisiana to Clovis James and Manilla (Bonvillain) Guidry. He married Ann Starnes on November 14, 1953 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Mr. Guidry was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Mater Dei Latin Community of Dallas where he was a former member of the choir. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Guidry retired from Southwestern Bell Yellow pages in 1996 after 21 years of service.
Mr. Guidry is survived by his wife, Ann Guidry of Plano, Texas; daughters, Deb Shaw and husband, Brian of McKinney, Texas, Kim Cox and husband, Gary of Allen, Texas, and Tammy Guidry and partner, Judi Robeson of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Knight, Jason White, Justin Lemons and Chelsea Robeson; great grandchildren, Denham White, Emma Knight, Graham Knight, Abigail Knight, Chloe Worthington and Gauge Worthington; sister, Shirley Henry of Houma, Louisiana; beloved dachshund, Oskar; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Stephen Lemons; sisters, Merle Williams, Ruby Bourg and Verda Dauterive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 15, 2005 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, followed by a family visitation, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
