Funeral will be Monday, June 26, 2006 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, Indiana for William C. "Pete" Bellenger, 77, Noblesville who died Friday, June 23, 2006. Graveside service will be Friday, June 30, at Forrest Cemetery, Gadsden. Mr. Bellenger was born in Gadsden on Sept. 17, 1928, to George Collier Bellenger, Sr. and Corrie Sitz Bellenger. He retired in 1984 as the vice president of oil and gas exploration and production for Chevron. He was an Army veteran and member of Harbour Trees Golf Club and the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at Auburn University. He was an avid golfer, boater and chef. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Cummins Bellenger; sons, Scott (Denise) Bellenger and Clint Bellenger; brother, George C. Bellenger, Jr.; stepchildren, Tim and Jennifer O'Banion; step-daughter, Jody Stumpe; and grandchildren, Mike Stumpe, Morgan O'Banion, Jordan O'Banion, Conner O'Branion and Cameron O'Banion. Memorial contributions may be made to Purdue University Cancer Center. Published in the The Indianapolis Star on June 25, 2006.
