Mr. Myers was born Jan. 20, 1965, in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended the Akron Community School in Akron, Iowa. He married Tina Vanderham on May 25, 1985, in Sioux City, Iowa. They lived near Cherokee, Iowa, Hawarden, and then in Paxton, Ill., before returning to Hawarden in 1987.
He worked for Hawarden Machine for seven years. He then became a truck driver for Schuster Trucking in LeMars, Iowa, and was currently driving for Van Wyk Trucking in Sheldon, Iowa.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons: Joseph and Patrick, both at home; and one daughter, Karissa, at home; his father, James Myers of Hawarden; three half brothers: Walter Caudill; Kyle Caudill of Paris, Texas; and Ken Kamradt of Sioux City, Iowa; and two half sisters: Penny Griffin and Sara Franklin, both of Abilene, Texas.
Funeral Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden, with burial in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden.
Visitation begins Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden, with a 7 p.m. prayer service Sunday at the church.
