Ottumwa Courier August 6, 1983

Clarence Van Buskirk, 83, of 616 Pearl Street died at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born April 14, 1900 at Fort Scott Kansas, to George and Annie Edinger Van Buskirk. A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he was a retired employee of Ottumwa Hotel.He was a member of the Opostolic Pentecostal Church. He married Pearl Goodwin December 1924.

Survivors are his wife; sons Robert and Clarence E.of Ottumwa; a grandson Jerry Parker, who was reared in his home; a daughter Elnoria Dowden of Des Moines; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great great grandaughter, and a sister; Marie Keller of Ottumwa.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Baker of Bethel Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cenmetery.

**Clarence, I remember you living in Davenport and great friends of my parents. Rest in peace knowing Pearl has now joined you in eternal rest.
