Robert L. Sheard, 67, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Bob was born March 5, 1947 in Preble County, to Roy & Edith Sheard. He attended school in Eaton, Gratis and Camden. He proudly served six years in the U.S. Navy. He owned real estate appraisal businesses in California and Germantown. When the real estate market dropped, he went on the road driving for CFI/Conway Freight. He traveled the world, all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. He had a knack for making friends and he had many. He fought off cancer for three years but lost the battle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene Sheard Hale and brother Leroy (Sonny) Sheard.

He is survived by his partner and soul mate of 14 years Beth Meadows of San Tan Valley, Arizona. They spent many years together and she took care of him to the end. Also surviving is his daughter Kimberly Gephart, Germantown, whom he raised as a single father and did an excellent job of it. Grandchildren include Logan, Aliso Creek, California, and Haley of Germantown. He is also survived by his daughter Angie of Maryland, sisters, Betty (Everett) Conger, Clearwater, Florida, L. Donna (Bill) Hamilton, Centerville, Indiana; brother, Dick (Faye) Sheard, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by many.
