Miss Ella Morrison, daughter of Emmett and Susie Hollen Morrison, was born March 21, 1877, near Pittsburg, Iowa, and passed away Thurdsday, Dec. 22, 1949, aged 72 years, 9 months, 1 day, from a fractured hip and complications. She is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Emmett Morrison of Birmingham; four brothers, Harve of Wheatland, Wyo; Roy of Frankford, Mo. and Bert of Libertyville, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. H. J. Dodds of Bonaparte, Iowa, and Mrs. Clifford Blackburn of Selma, Iowa.
Ella was a member of the Methodist church since childhood and was always in attendance as long as health permitted. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister. Funeral services were held at the Catcott funeral home in Birmingham Saturday, Dec. 24, 1949 at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Lacy Thompson. Burial in Pittsburg cemetery.
