James Chester Kelly, 69, of Pryor, died Monday at Deaconess Hospital in Billings, Montana. He had been in ill health for several years. He was born April 11, 1901, at Amarillo, Tex., a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Chester Judd. He attended schools in Topeka, Kans., and came to Ingomar abut 1915 with his mother. About 1922 he moved to Crow Agency and started following moving picture companies around the northwest area.
He married Julia White April 3, 1926. They lived at Crow Agency, Port Townsend, Wash., and Kalispell before moving to Billings in 1942. Mr. Kelly worked as a railway brakeman and then as an ironworker until 1961. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was survived by his widow, of Pryor, four sons; six daughters; two sisters, Mrs. Aldena Arneson, Kalispell, and Mrs. Florence Knight, California; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandcildren.  Committal services were held at Crow Agency cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Hastings of Crow Agency Baptist Mission, Bulls Mortuary, Hardin, has charge of arrangements.
