Impressive funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from St. John's Lutheran church in Sycamore for Gregory Alan Taylor, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Taylor, who passed away Friday morning at the Sycamore municipal hospital, where he had been a patient since Wednesday. He was taken ill the previous Saturday with a severe cold from which pneumonia developed.
Rev. Louis I. Going officiated at the services, and burial took place in the Elmwood cemetery. Friends called at the Johnson-VanNatta Funeral Home, until time of the funeral.
Gregory was born June 30, 1952, at the Sycamore hospital, the son of Gerald and Marilyn Moore Taylor. Besides the grief-stricken parents, two brothers, Steven, 5, and David, 4, and a sister, Jerrilynn Sue, 2, survive, also the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Taylor of Sycamore and Mrs. Emma Moore of DeKalb.
