Mrs. Henry Widder, 79, of 1924 N. Twelfth street, passed away at her home at about 7 o'clock this morning, after a lingering illness.
She was born on March 15, 1864, in town Schleswig, Manitowoc county, and her marriage to Henry Widder took place in the Kiel Reformed church on Nov. 16, 1889. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago.
They operated a farm in town Sheboygan until 1912, when they retired and moved to Sheboygan, where they have made their home ever since.
Mrs. Widder was an active member of the St. Paul's Frauen Verein and the Mission society until the time of her illness.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Theodore Widder, and one daughter, Mrs. William Doege; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Sheboygan. One brother, Theodore Pickruhn, of Elkhart Lake, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Knuth of Milwaukee, Mrs. Alfred Voland and Mrs. Henry Schilling of Kiel also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Nickel's Funeral home, with the Rev. E. H. Schmidt of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church officiating. Interment will take place in the Lutheran cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 o'clock this evening.
