Mildred Irene Swords, formerly of Dallastown RD 2, died at 9:25 a.m. at Colonial Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was 83.
Mrs. Swords was a homemaker. Born in Delroy, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Clara Blessing Fake. She was the wife of the late Albert R. Swords Sr.
She leaves a daugher, Arlene J. Miller, York; a son, Albert R. Swords Jr., Coudersport, Potter County; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Louella Herman, Dallastown, and Ruth Myers, Red Lion; and a brother, William Fake, Seffner, Fla.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
