Robert A. Algoe died early Monday morning at his residence on West Washington street, after a long illness from dropsy and other complications at the age of 70 years. Mr. Algoe was well and favorably known in Winterset, where he has resided for the past nine years. He has been in failing health for the past year or two and it was five or six weeks ago that his condition became serious. Mr. Algoe was born in Illinois, but spent most of the early part of his life in Nebraska, moving from there to the Peru neighborhood in 1893. He is survived by his wife and five children, none of whom live at home except Miss Mary, who is employed at the Bell telephone office.
