Funeral Services for Fred C. Chapek, 74, of 1810 Madison St., Two Rivers, a retired veteran commercial fisherman, who died at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital Wednesday noon where he had been a patient since Thanksgiving Day, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. C. V. Hugo officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Chapek was born at Algoma on Aug. 31, 1880, a son of the late Alois and Rose Chapek. More than 50 years ago he came to Two Rivers and continued in the commercial fishing enterprise which he was identified with for many years. In later years he worked as a carpenter.
Mr. Chapek is survived by his wife, the former Lucy Jebavy, whom he married in Two Rivers in 1906, and three daughters, Mrs. Nic Hein of Manitowoc, Mrs. Vivien Holtz of Two Rivers and Mrs. Carl Klassy of Milwaukee, and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
