Fleta Lee Collier, age 95, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Mitchell Manor Convalescent Center. Lee Collier was born on June 12, 1920 in Hallett, Oklahoma to Walter Leroy and Gertrude Avesta (Gilmore) Richardson. She grew up on the family farm in rural Missouri. She married Jerome D. "Jerry" Collier on August 26, 1941 in Neosho, Missouri. They moved to McAlester in 1949 and Lee has lived here since then. Lee worked at North American-Rockwell as a records librarian for several years. Lee was a long time active member of the First Baptist Church of McAlester, where she devoted many hours of her time, serving as a Sunday School teacher, working on the church mission committee, and taking part in many bible study classes. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
