Paul M. Grosstueck Sr., age 74, of 1706 Viebahn St., Manitowoc, died peacefully but unexpected early Saturday morning, June 7, 2008, at his residence.

Paul was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Two Rivers, a son of the late August and Mary Grosstueck. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School, Woodrow Wilson Jr. High and Lincoln High School, all in Manitowoc, before entering the U.S. Coast Guard in 1950. He was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard in 1953. On Sept. 29, 1956, he was married to Janet M. Keller at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Paul worked at the Whitehouse Milk Co. in Manitowoc for 25 years and the City of Manitowoc-Waste Water Treatment Plant for 19 years, retiring in 1998. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Manitowoc and enjoyed reading,
fishing, listening to music, watching old westerns, working in his yard and watching the Green Bay Packers. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Mary Keller; a grandson, Dominic Reindl; one brother, Walter Grosstueck; and two sisters, Carol Hoskins and Jean Kluczinske.

A memorial talk will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapel, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Cremation will follow with burial to be held at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels after 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service at 3 p.m.
