Age 75, a resident of Grancare Nursing Center, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002.He was born a son of Kenneth E. and Charlotte Mapes Reed on March 30, 1926, in Cassville, Wis.
He served in the U. S. Navy from 1944-46 in the Asian Pacific Theatre. On Oct. 1, 1948, he married Claire E. Toporkiewicz in Fond du Lac. He was employed by Mercury Marine for 19 years, retiring in December 1988. Dexter was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, Carter Reed.
