BARBARA JEAN KOEPPEL

Barbara J. Koeppel, 40, 14219 Waters Way, New Berlin, Wis., died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, following a long battle with kidney disease.

Barbara was born Oct. 5, 1962, in Two Rivers, daughter of Lester and J’Ette Feit Koeppel. She graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1981. Barb furthered her education with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from Madison Technical College. In 1990, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mt. Mary College, Milwaukee. Barb was the Manager of Clinical Operations for Extendicare in Wisconsin and Minnesota. She was a member of the Wisconsin Athletic Club, Milwaukee and a Graduate of Leadership Green Bay.

Survivors include her parents, Lester and J’Ette Koeppel, Two Rivers; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Robert DeRoche, Jr. and their son, James, Manitowoc; Julie and Tim Flynn and their twins, Eryn and Barb’s godchild, Ryan, Green Bay; Becky and Larry Lueck and their son, Travis, Green Bay; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey and Nancy Koeppel and their daughter, Ila, London, England; Keith and Amy Koeppel, Two Creeks; Barb’s very special friend, Bill Stroud, West Bend; step-grandmother, Rose Feit, Green Bay; her godparents, Leon “Bud” and Eunice Wusterbarth, Kiel. Aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.

Barb was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Julia Koeppel; Frank and Barbara Feit; and a nephew, Robert DeRoche III.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd St., Two Rivers. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer site from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer site, Two Rivers. The Revs. William O’Brien and Raphael Birringer, S.D.S. will concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
