WITTCOPP - On October 12, 1927, at his residence, John Street, Point Lookout, Maryborough, Carl (Charles) Rudolph, beloved husband of Fanny Wittkopp, aged 63 years and 4 months.
OBITUARY
The death of Mr Carl (Charles) Rudolph Wittkopp, at the age of 63 years and four months, occurred yesterday afternoon at his residence, John Street, Point Lookout, Maryborough, after an extended illness. The deceased came out to Queensland at the age of nine years with his parents, and landed at Maryborough. The most of his life was spent in this city as a master plumber, but fourteen years were spent in Kingaroy, where he followed his trade.
In the early days of Maryborough, the late Mr Wittkopp took an active part in military activities, and took a great interest in all branches of sports. He is survived by a widow and a family of our sons and seven daughters - Messrs William (employee of the City Council, Maryborough), Charles (Bundaberg), James (Kingaroy), and Laurence (Maryborough), and Mesdames M. C. Bushnell and P. N. Tamlyn (Maryborough), S. Alston (Maryborough), Leo Miller (Maryborough), V. Palmer (Brisbane), and W. H. Pointon (Kingaroy), and Miss May Wittkipp (at home). He is also survived by one sister, Mrs Jas Kenny (Wooloowin, Brisbane), and one step-sister, Mrs H. Dorr (Maryborough), also 20 grandchildren.
The funeral takes place this afternoon at 4 o'clock from his late residence, John Street, Point Lookout, for the Maryborough cemetery.
