OBITUARY Former Winamac resident Donald S. Erwin, 86, Auburndale, Fla., died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in his residence.
Born Aug. 16, 1907, in Star City, he was married to Mary E. St. Clair, who died Jan. 1 1957. Mr. Erwin was a retired farmer. He enjoyed woodworking and making grandfather clocks and wooden lamps.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Wilma Mercer and Betty Smith, Fla.; 1 brother, Rennie, Royal Center, and 5 grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded in death.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Star City.
