OBITUARY
Walter A. House, age 70 years, 7 days, residing near Galveston passed away suddenly at his home, January 31,1942. He was born January 24, 1872 in Jackson Twp., Cass County, having lived there his entire life; was one of eight children of Simeon and Elizabeth House. On March 18, 1893 he was married to Nellie Eckley and to them were born four children. He had successfully engaged in farming and was active until his death. Mr. House was a member of the Otterbein U.B. church and was held in high esteem by all who knew him, leaving a large circle of friends who will sadly miss him. The wife preceded him in death, June 22, 1934. Surviving are one son and three daughters namely: Earl R. House of near Galveston; Mrs. Edna Lutz of Onward; Mrs. Cressa Rhine of near Walton and Mrs. Alta Hyman of near Galveston; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister and three brothers; Mrs. Pearl Barnhart of Toledo, Ohio; Luther House of Grants Pass, Oregon; Orbie House of Kokomo and Ernest House of Frankfort, Mich.
