He is survived by his loving wife Audrey, sons Theodore (Lynn) Aarstad Sr. of Spirit Lake, ID, Ronald (Debra) Brown of Centralia and daughter Diane (Denny) Driggs of Bainbridge Island. His brothers Ronald Aarstad and Marvin (Betty) Aarstad of Gainesville WI, his sister Sharon (Don) Prisk of Fort Atkins, WI, 14 Grandchildren, and 19 Great Grandchildren.
Theodore (Ted) joined the Navy and at the end of World War II, he served in the Occupation of Japan. After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1948, he worked as a Labor Foreman until he retired. He married his sweetheart Audrey in 1963 and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed numerous trips together and have been longtime residents of Carnation for over 36 years. Ted was a member of the American Legion and was known best for his dancing and hunting abilities. He had a smile that dazzled all of us. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Information: A memorial service will be held at Tolt Congregational United Church of Christ on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 11:00 am, Reception to follow.
Donations Information: The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made in honor of Ted to the Humane Society.
