Brenda Gay Higginbotham

PRINCETON — "I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith" (II Timothy Chapter 4:7).

PRINCETON — Brenda Gay Higginbotham, 67, of the Pisgah Road, Princeton, died suddenly Sunday, April 13, 2014 Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke VA.

Born January 31, 1947, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Hafid Allen Meadows and Minnie Evelyn Bailey Meadows.

Brenda was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1965 and the former manager for the Montgomery Ward Store in Princeton. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

While her health permitted, she enjoyed riding on country roads and was a devoted grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Hearn.

Brenda will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, Robert G. "Bobby" Higginbotham along with her devoted son, Robbie and his fiancée Betty Daugherty; Grandson, Jonathan Morgan Collins; Her sister, Janet Evelyn Davis; Sister-in-law, Sheila Dawn Hearn all of Princeton, And her faithful 4 legged companion, Burrito; Nieces and nephews, Missi Starkey, Eddie Davis and his wife Missy, Beth Weakley and her husband Gary and family, Michelle Pate and her husband Travis and family, David Higginbotham and his wife Mary and family, Rodney Hearn and his wife Jamie and her daughter Autumn; Great-nieces and Nephew, Anessi and Alyssi Starkey, Tyler Davis.

Funeral services for Brenda Higginbotham will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Mark Deeter and Bill Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Lowe, Dale Tignor, Terry Sanders, Barry Boothe, Mark Hazelwood and Raymond Hazelwood.

The Higginbotham family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
