ANTWERP — Betty L. Altic, 80, of Antwerp, passed away, at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born April 4, 1924, the daughter of Leroy and Goldie (Kirkland) Brown. On Dec. 14, 1945, in Churubusco, Ind., she married William Altic, who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1995. She was a homemaker.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Ruth Kaufman, Deb Ricard, Vicki Vachon and Traci O'Donnell, all of Antwerp, and Tina Galbreath of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael, Mark, Shane and Greg, all of Antwerp, and Steve and Shawn, both of Fort Wayne; 38 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Betty's sons, Bill, Jeff and Chris; her grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Altic and John Francis Vachon; brothers, William, David and Grover Brown; and sisters, Nellie Sprow and Helen Brown, have passed away.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Dooley Funeral Home in Antwerp, with the Rev. Max Begley officiating. She was laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp.
Preferred memorials are to the Paulding County Salvation Army.
