Janet R. Kujawski, 72, of South Bend, IN passed away at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on October 31, 1941 in Plymouth, IN to the late Charles and Zona (Kleckner) Bilyew. She grew up in Rochester, IN and moved to South Bend, IN in 1959. In February 1960 she married Tom Kujawski who preceded her in death in June 2003.
Mrs. Kujawski is survived by two sons, Tom Kujawski and Ken Kujawski, both of South Bend, IN; two grandchildren, Mitch (Jordan Farber) Kujawski of Mishawaka, IN and Jenna Kujawski of Muncie, IN and her first great grandchild is due in a few days. She is also survived by her sister, Rosalie (Alan) Hernly of Fort Wayne, IN; two nephews, Chris Hernly and Dan (Michelle) Hernly and great nephew, Evan Hernly.
Mrs. Kujawski began working at Hooks Drug Store and retired from CVS as a clerk and pharmacy assistant. She also worked as a Para professional for the Mishawaka School Corporation. She loved reading, sewing and working in her yard.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday in the funeral home.
