He was the father of Robert Janes, Karen Doyle and Gregory Janes. Step-father of Joan Elkins and Carole Anderson. Grandchildren and a great-granchild also survive.
Services were at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Rochester and entombment in Roseland Park Cemetery.
