Pioneer Woman of Ferdinand District Dies at Cottonwood Hospital
Grangeville, March 1 - Mrs. Mary Lena Hanses, 78, a native of Germany, died at the Cottonwood hospital today. She was a pioneer of the Ferdinand section.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Thomas Tabor, Lewiston; Mrs. Fred McLean, Hoquiam, Wash.; Mrs. Micheal Kinzer, Ferdinand; and Mrs. Ben Haungel, living in Canada; George Hanses, Louis and Fred Hanses, all of Alberta.
Funeral services will be held at the Catholic church of Ferdinand Monday morning and the body will be taken to Lewiston For interment.
