In Basil Lamar's will, dated 14 Nov 1827, there is a slave named Dick who was a carpenter; he was willed to Basil's son, John T Lamar..in 1850 slave schedule he seems to be owned by Gazaway Lamar..

Dick Lamar appears in several tax digests from 1840s til 1880s... often listed right next to Isabella Lamar and her husband Jeffrey Moore
