He enlisted in the Army on 09 July 1941 were he served as an Warrant Officer.
His first wife Lou McElvoy passed at a young age with cancer.
He married Pearl Shinkle 15 June 1968.
He passed away at his home of an apparent heart attack at the age of 52.
