Bill Aven was born in Chatham Co NC, along with several of his siblings, including James Stanford Aven who is also my ancestor. The family moved from Chatham to Perry Co. Tn by the time the 8th child arrived in May 1817.
They were in Carroll Co Tn by the 1830 Census, and Henderson Co Tn by 1840.

By 1835-at least- three of the brothers left Tn, and came to Ga. (I feel like there was Ga, property from the Rev Service of their Grandfather Thomas Aven)
James Stanford born 1810 in Chatham, his next sibling #5 Bill 1811, and a younger brother #11 Ferman C "Fern" born 1820, all came to Ga.
The 1st two stayed- and were earlier found in Pike, Henry,Talbot-then Webster for James, Talbert, Marion, Chattahoochee, Muscogee,Randolph, and Quitman for Bill, Twiggs and then to Miss. Ferney.

William D 4 Ga
Ann 1 Ga
Robert McDaniel 21 & Thos Hand 16 Laborers
I have not found the 1860 Census on this family, which is crutial for the other two children William D and Ann, though I do find a slave schedule in Marion-but this name is so badly misspelled by Census takers and ancestry, etc. that nothing shows up, even close on the wrong spellings I know.
By 1870-
Census-Subdivision 146, 881-882- Randolph, Georgia
John W Aven 59 NC 3300 850
Sarah Jane Aven 49 Ga
this couple is childless. My ancestor Mary Jane Aven the oldest child, with probably several in between that did not live- married 12 Dec 1854 Marion Co Ga. Thomas Jefferson McMichael. This coupld also moved to Randolph.

Bill had a plantation with many slaves, and was apparently very prosperous, in the Talbot, Marion, area. He was in so many records in about a 6 county area, that I can not say for sure where it was. He then moved to Randolph Co.

After Sarah's death, Bill married Oct 1885 Watsonia Carrie Rockmore (Mrs Wm A Alexander, Mrs Swan Pritchett Bennett) Quitman Co Ga. And he was buried in the Burnett Family Cemetery there 10 years later.
