NELLIE RATHSACK

Mrs. Nellie Rathsack, 93, a resident of Manitowoc for over 85 years, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at the home of her son, Alois, of 1203 North Water St. Manitowoc, with whom she resided. Mrs. Rathsack had been about as usual Sunday and was stricken as she sat in a chair.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Rathsack, nee Nellie Smuggler, was born in Poland in 1860 and seven years later her parents moved to Manitowoc. She was married to John Rathsack in 1877. He died in 1889. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Rosary Society of the St. Mary congregation.

Survivors are a son, Alois of Manitowoc; sister, Mrs. Joseph Rathsack of Ladysmith, Wis.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after Tuesday noon, where the rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
