Mrs. Janice E. Taylor, 94 years old, a lifelong resident of Bollinger County, died June 7, at her home in Marble Hill. She had been in failing health for sometime.
Mrs. Taylor was born near Lutesville on February 26, 1867, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lutes. Her husband was the late J.A. Taylor.
She was a charter member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Marble Hill.
She was the oldest living member of the Marble Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by three children, Mrs. Winonah Pence of Marble Hill; Gene Taylor of Marble Hill; and Nemon J. Taylor of Chicago; and five grandchildren.
Two children, Mary and M.J. Taylor, 2 sisters and 5 brothers also preceded her in death.
The body was taken to the family home from the Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville on Thursday, until time for services Friday at the Marble Hill Baptist Church; Rev. James Henson officiated and burial was in Glen Allen Cemetery.
