Mohamed Ikramodien Kahn was a native of South Africa. He came to London, Ontario in 1979 to take up the position of Imam at the London Muslim Mosque. He was the first non-Arab in that postion. He won over the hearts of the congregation with a combination of charisma and Egyptian Arabic.
