Susan M. Grumann, age 69, of Minneapolis, MN, a former Two Rivers resident, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at her residence in Minneapolis.

Sue was born October 11, 1943, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late William R. and Agnes (Simono) Grumann. She was a graduate of Washington High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee and her Master's of Social Work from the University of Minnesota. She was employed with Hennepin County Social Services. Sue was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, and a consociate member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet. She was involved in various organizations for social and economic justice and peace in the world and environmental causes.

Survivors include one sister Karol Knoble, Francis Creek; three brothers and a sister-in-law: John and Carol Grumann, Two Rivers; Paul Grumann, Two Rivers; Gary Grumann, Manitowoc; and a sister-in-law: Marlene Grumann, Two Rivers; nieces and nephews: Steve (Sue), David (Cyndee), Allen (Jen), Dan (Michelle), Amy (Shane), Michael (Autumn), Matthew (Kelley), Erica, Jessica (Greg), and Bill. She is further survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Bill Grumann Jr.; and a sister-in-law: Donna Grumann and a brother-in-law: Fritz Knoble.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the memorial service will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Susan's name to the Sisters of St. Francis Convent, 6835 Hwy 151, Manitowoc, or the Sisters of St. Joseph, 1884 Randolph Street, St. Paul, MN, 55105.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the Grumann family with funeral arrangements.
