1 June 1860 is when Albert appears in the census for Huntsville, Madison, Alabama, the again in 1870, with his wife (Mary (48) and children, Albert (15), Maria (13) and George (9). 1880 census proves interesting as there are grown daughters (single and widowed), grown son as well as Albert's In-Laws living with him on Holmes Street.
Interesting though, in the Freeman's Book Records, dated 7 September 1871, George, who is listed as a 'School boy", is listed as 'head' with his parents, Albert & Mary and brothers, William, Albert, & sisters Maria, Louisa, Ellen, Hennertta, Mattie & Virginia.
