William T White, who was acknowledged to have been the oldest inhabitant of Kanawha county, if not the entire state, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs R W Wees, in Dunbar, Sunday afternoon. Mr White was 98 years old, he having been born in Nicholas county on November 9, 1817.
The funeral was held at Dunbar Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the burial grounds there. The deceased is survived by four daughter, Mrs Wees, Mrs Mary Stone, of Union, Mrs Martha Jarrett, of Institute, and Mrs Fannie Bennett, of Coal, Nicholas county, and one son, B H White, of Beckley.
