Mildred, 89, Glandorf, died at 7:15 p.m., at Calvary Manor Nursing Home.

She was the daughter of August and Caroline (Vandebosch) Fischer. On Nov 25, 1937, she married Thomas H. Nienberg, who preceded her in death.

Surviving were three sons: Dennis (Edna), Melvin (Diane) and Russell (Barbara), all Glandorf; a daughter, Jean (Norman) Smith, Sidney; a daughter-in-law, Judy Nienberg, Glandorf; and sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, John "Jack,"; four brothers: Norbert, Walter, Edward and Louis; and eight sisters: Colette Kolhoff, Edigna Stechschulte, Wendolyn Fischer, Adelaide Finneran, Mary Driscoll, Agnes Diemer, Bertha Kohls and Wilma Birkle.

A homemaker, she worked 23 years as a bookkeeper for the family business, Nienberg Supply Co., Glandorf. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, where she served as a lector and a member of its Altar Rosary and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

A Funeral Mass will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating.
