Mrs. CATHERINE ROSALIE SAUM, wife of Harry Lee Saum, 131 E. Baltimore Street, died at the Western Maryland State Hospital Saturday, aged 76 years. She was born at Emmitsburg, Frederick County, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Houpt) Favorite. She had been living in Hagerstown for the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Catherine G. Dickens; son, Robert Lee Saum, Hagerstown; one grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Simon Stock, Harrisburg; and Mrs. Irene Irvin, Cleveland, Ohio.
A Requiem Mass was said at St. Mary's Catholic Church; interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery; arrangements were handled by the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home.
