Pauline Maxine Theriot, 92, of Grand Lake died at 1:20 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 in an Oberlin care facility.

Mrs. Theriot was born on July 3, 1921 in Nebraska. After marrying her sweat heart in the U.S. Armed Forces, they moved to his hometown of Creole in 1945. In 1957 they moved to Grand Lake where they permanently resided. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.

She enjoyed planting flowers and one of her favorite times of the day was when Wheel of Fortune came on television.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Peggy T. Myers and husband Ken of Grand Lake; three grandchildren and their spouses, Danny Myers and Cherié of Grand Lake, Bryan Theriot and Heather also of Grand Lake, and Gina Theriot Jory and Pete of Baton Rouge; and seven great grandchildren, Alex, Sydney, and Reed Myers, Madison and Maggie Theriot, and Savannah and Luke Jory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Theriot; a son, Gene Theriot; two sisters, Goldie Taylor and Bernice Alden; and three brothers, Charles, Glenn, and Edward Weigel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
