She was the former Lucille Popp, born July 27, 1924 in Elkhart Lake, daughter of the late Henry & Edna (Price) Popp.
Lucille was a graduate of Kiel High School.
On March 27, 1950 she married Ervin H. Reese at First Presbyterian Church, Kiel. The couple celebrated more than 55 wonderful years together.
Ervin preceded her in death on November 30, 2005.
Lucille & Ervin own and operated Quality Monuments, Kiel since 1955. Lucille took great pride in designing monuments for her customers.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She was also a talented cake decorator for family and friends. Lucille was very artistic, she enjoyed painting, making hats and even took welding classes with Ervin.
She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Kiel
Survivors include two daughters; Linda Smith (Kevin), Alliston Ontario, Canada, Ruthie (Steve) Rumpff, Kiel, three grandchildren; Tracie (Dean) Gibson, Rachel (Aaron) Suttner, Caryn (Dan) Bruckschen and five great grandchildren; Angel, Tyler, Ashley, Alyssa & Aubree. She is further survived by her brother, Raymond (Lorraine) Popp, brother-in-law, Martin Reese, sister-in-law, Lorraine Reese, special family friend, Patty (Alfred) Gaudet, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tricia Smith, one sister, Adeline Popp, son-in-law, Smitty, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Lucille will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 727 6th St., Kiel with Pastor Cheryl Lepak officiating.
Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery.
