John P. Kakuk, age 74, of 2739 12th St., Two Rivers, died early on Tuesday morning, Aug. 17, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
John was born Feb. 9, 1936, in Two Rivers, son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary (Yindra) Kakuk. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1954. On May 10, 1958, he married the former Diane Piepenburg at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on Sept. 15, 1991. John then married Darlene Lodel on June 8, 1996, at St. Mark Catholic Church,
Two Rivers. He was employed for 31 years at Manitowoc Crane as an Assembler and Test Pile until he retired in February 1996. John was a member of the Lakeshore Nights Car Club. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He
liked to watch wrestling and football, especially the Packers. He loved spending time with his family.

He was also preceded in death by two children: Judy Kakuk, Robert Kakuk; one sister and brother-in-law: Rose and Duke Duprey, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to (private) and to the staffs at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers and Sheboygan for their care and compassion shown towards John and his family. Also to (private) for their spiritual guidance.
The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
