She was born March 19, 1918, in Medford, Mass., to Leforest and Hope (nee Williams) Welch.
Charlotte moved to the Englewood area in 1978 from Detroit, Mich. She was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church.
Charlotte is survived by her sons, Dennis Barbre of Michigan, and Michael and Bruce Barbre, both of Florida; and her sister, Jeanette M. Huff of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Paul Barbre.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
